Yes, the sqlite version of Airday is designed to be easily self-hosted. It will be made available at the same time as the hosted version.
Airday's community version will be open source under the AGPL-3.0 license. Parts of the hosted version will be proprietary. Data can be transferred between each.
Yes, user data (except for authentication and config) is E2EE. Where server access is needed, e.g. in the case of a server-side CALDav adapter, it will be explicitly granted by the user and a separate server managed key will be used to manage that set of data.
